After being placed in the barrier MAZAHA (FR) became fractious getting its head in over the front of the stall. When this happened, the ring-bit became twisted and had to be refitted. MAZAHA (FR) was slow to begin. On jumping QASSAM W’RSAN (AE) shifted in and bumped SHARIS (AE). Shortly after the start MULAQEN (FR) was tightened for room between MAHDI (AE) and SHARIS (AE), which shifted in. MAHDI (AE) raced greenly throughout. Near the 700 metres, BEN SEDDIQ (AE) restrained and lost ground, when SHARIS (AE) steadied from the tiring AL ANID (FR) and shifted in, at the same time FRENCH ATHBAH (US) shifted outwards. Passing the 400 metres SHARIS (AE) and FRENCH ATHBAH (US) bumped. DHAREEF (AE) lay out in the straight.
