As apprentice D Muscutt rode his 30th winner at Meydan on the 13th of March 2014, his allowance changed to 2.5 kg and not 3.0 kg as advertised in the race cards. Jockey T O’Shea and Apprentice N Garbutt were reprimanded pursuant to ERA Rule 100(ii) for their conduct in the jockey’s room following the running of race 1 at Al Ain on the 14th of March 2014. Due to a printing error, Race 5 “The Ruler of Sharjah Cup” (1700 metres) had been listed in the racecard as a Prestige race and prize money being paid down to sixth (6th) place. The race was run, as advertised in the ERA Conditions Book, as a Conditions race and prize money being paid down to fifth (5th) place. SHAHRYAR (AE) raced wide without cover throughout. Jockey P Cosgrave (SHAHRYAR (AE)) and Apprentice M Monaghan (GHALIB (FR)) both reported that their respective mounts hung inwards throughout.
