Jockey A Ajtebi (A’JUBA (GB)), which finished last, explained that the gelding made a respiratory noise during the race. Jockey R Mullen (SLEW DE BEAUNE (ARG)) reported that the gelding felt awkward in its action behind. A post-race veterinary examination of SLEW DE BEAUNE (ARG) revealed no abnormalities. During the running of the race SLEW DE BEAUNE (ARG) lost its left fore plate.
