AL AREEN (AE) – (G Buckell): Approaching the 1500 metres the rider was dislodged. Apprentice G Buckell was attended to by the on course ambulance and was transported to Sharjah Hospital for observation. ABHAR (AE) – (T O’Shea): Veered outwards severely approaching the turn into the straight and then shifted inwards quickly. When questioned, rider stated that in his opinion the colt had baulked at the marks left by the barrier at the start. When questioned, Trainer Mr S Al Ketbi stated that it was completely out of character for the colt as it had raced truly on all previous occasions. AB TAJ AL MELOUK (AE) – (S Karlsson): Acting on veterinary advice that the filly had an infection to its right foreleg, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the filly at 2:07 PM. Trainer Mr O D Mohammed was notified that prior to the filly being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the filly. GENERAL: An inquiry was opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed into the reason for Apprentice G Buckell (Al AREEN (AE)) being dislodged near the 1500 metres.

Trainer Mr M Al Jahouri (BIBISHEENA [FR]) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late application to run the mare in blinkers.
