A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. KERNOFF (IRE) – (S Foley): Slow into stride. Made contact with another runner shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg. Trainer Mr M Halford was notified that prior to being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the gelding. LINE OF REASON (IRE) – (P Mulrennan): Was held tight shortly after the start. MASTER OF WAR (GB) – (L Steward): Commenced awkwardly. Over the concluding stages lay in under pressure and bumped another horse. MY CATCH (IRE) – (P Dobbs): Made contact with another runner shortly after the start. SHOLAAN (IRE) – (O Murphy): Bumped by another runner and became unbalanced approaching the winning post. DARK EMERALD (IRE) – (R Mullen): Bumped passing the 500 metres when racing tight. WHISTLE STOP (SAF) – (D O’Neill): Whilst on the way to the barrier, the gelding took charge of its rider and galloped a full circuit of the track. The gelding was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 7:16pm. GENERAL: Jockey O Murphy (SHOLAAN [IRE]) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess.

FORRIES WALTZ (SAF) – (C Soumillon): Checked severely near the 1000 metres. HORATIO BLOOM (SWE) – (O Murphy): Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Trainer Mr N Petersen, that the colt was lame in the right foreleg, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the colt at 4:28pm. Trainer Mr N Petersen was notified that prior to the colt being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the colt. INITIAL (IRE) – (S De Sousa): Tightened and checked near the 1000 metres. QUARTERBACK (GER) – (P Dobbs): The bridle had to be re-adjusted in the mounting enclosure. Bumped on jumping. Restrained near the 1000 metres. TOSCANELLI (IRE) – (W Smith): Bumped on jumping. WILD CITIZEN (USA) – (P Garberg): Approaching the 1000 metres had to be steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have blood in its mouth. ZEPHUROS (IRE) – (W Buick): Tightened and carried inwards near the 1000 metres and had to be restrained off heels. ROMOSH (IRE) – (O Urbina): Momentarily steadied at the 400 metres. GENERAL: Jockey S Foley (WYCHWOOD WARRIOR [IRE]) was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), for shifting in near the 1000 metres when not clear tightening ZEPHUROS (IRE) inwards with that gelding having to be restrained off the heels of BURNT SUGAR (IRE), and then shifted in onto INITIAL (IRE), which was checked and carried inwards onto FORRIES WALTZ (SAF), which checked severely. QUARTERBACK (GER), which was racing to the inside, restrained. S Foley had his license to ride in races suspended for three (3) race meetings (Meydan 14.02.2015, Abu Dhabi 15.02.2015 & Meydan 19.02.2015).

MICKDAAM (IRE) – (W Smith): Lay in at the 300 metres making contact with another runner. AUSSIE REIGNS (IRE) – (P Hanagan): Raced extremely keenly in the early stages placing its rider in some difficulty. ELIDOR (GB) – (D O’Neill): Over-raced in the early stages. Raced in restricted room passing the winning post the first time. FAMOUS KID (USA) – (W Buick): Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout. ITHOUGTHITWASOVER (IRE) – (T O’Shea): Near the 2200 metres, got its head up when racing ungenerously and continued to over-race during the middle stages. LAYALI AL ANDALUS (GB) – (R Mullen): Approaching the 1800 metres, when racing in restricted room, had to be steadied. GENERAL: Stewards inquired into the reason for MEANDRE (FR) being carried inwards near the 200 metres. It was established that AHZEEMAH (IRE) (J Doyle) had shifted in under pressure at that stage of the race. Jockey J Doyle (AHZEEMAH [IRE]) was advised that in similar circumstances he is to make every effort to keep his mount straight.
