AJJAADD (USA) – (R Mullen): Proved difficult to load. Trainer Mr T Powell was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. GENERAL: Jockey R Hughes (CASPIAN PRINCE [IRE]) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess. Jockey R Hughes (CASPIAN PRINCE [IRE]) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 62(ix) for using a modified safety vest.

VAN ROONEY (USA) – (R Hughes): Restrained passing the 1200 metres. Raced wide throughout. YARD LINE (USA) – (W Buick): Reared on jumping throwing its head upwards. EDU QUERIDO (BRZ) – (M Monaghan): Squeezed on jumping. BANNOCK (IRE) – (S De Sousa): Lost its right hind plate during the race. GENERAL: Stewards inquired into the reason for VAN ROONEY (USA) restraining near the 1200 metres. On inquiry it was established that at that stage ROMANSH (USA) when racing close to heels steadied outwards slightly, carrying ROYAL RIDGE (SAF) out on to VAN ROONEY (USA). Stewards accepted that this was a race incident.

FILS ANGES (IRE) – (J Doyle): Steadied approximately 100 metres after the start. Held up on straightening. MY CATCH (IRE) – (P Dobbs): Over raced in the early stages getting its head up. TAMAATHUL (GB) – (P Hanagan): Bumped and severely inconvenienced shortly after the start. Approaching the 100 metres when racing tightly was carried in and steadied. WHISTLE STOP (SAF) – (D O’Neill): On jumping threw its head up and veered outwards abruptly bumping heavily with another runner. Approaching the 100 metres was held tight and raced in restricted room. COUNTERGLOW (IRE) – (W Smith): Eased when tightened for room near the 900 metres. GENERAL: Stewards inquired into an incident near the 100 metres where FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH (IRE) TAMAATHUL (GB) and WHISTLE STOP (SAF) received interference. It was established that prior to the incident FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH (IRE) had shifted outward to obtain clear running and then raced in restricted room. Shortly after EASTERN RULES (IRE) had then commenced to lay inwards crowding WHISTLE STOP (SAF) on to TAMAATHUL (GB) with FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH (IRE) being impeded. Jockey J Spencer will be spoken to by the Stewards in regard to this incident.
