AS ENJAZ (AE) – (F Jara): Commenced awkwardly. BALAD AL REEF (AE) – (R Mullen): Commenced awkwardly. HAKIM (AE) – (P Dobbs): Inconvenienced and carried outwards passing the 300 metres. AF RAHIA (AE) – (M Fernandes): Commenced awkwardly. BAROUD DE RODAIM (AE) – (F Tylicki): A pre-race veterinary examination of the colt, who sustained abrasions to both hind legs when being transported to the course, passed the colt suitable to race. Difficult to load. Raced greenly throughout. Passing the 300 metres lay outwards and approaching the 150 metres shifted inwards. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for HAKIM (AE)(P Dobbs) being inconvenienced passing the 300 metres. It was established that passing the 300 metres BAROUD DE RODAIM (AE)(F Tylicki) lay outwards, whilst being hit with the whip and racing greenly, inconveniencing HAKIM (AE). Jockey F Tylicki was reprimanded under the provision of ERA Rule 69(i) for allowing his mount to shift ground when not clear and advised that in future he would be expected to stop using his whip and straighten his mount. Jockey F Tylicki (BAROUD DE RODAIM (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess. F Tylicki was further reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for hitting his mount continuously without giving it a chance to respond, in that he hit his mount on consecutive occasions.

SKY JOCKEY (GB) – (R Mullen): Lay outwards passing the 400 metres and over the concluding 100 metres lay in. SKYGAZER (IRE) - (T O’Shea): Slow into stride and then bumped by another runner. TOBACO (ARG) – (P Dobbs): Steadied shortly after the start. Raced greenly throughout. Carried inwards over the final 100 metres and near the winning post bumped another runner and dipped. PRINCE JAI (GB) – (C Hayes): Commenced awkwardly. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for EXPO TWENTY (IRE)(S Mazur) being bumped heavily over the concluding stages. It was established that over the concluding stages SKY JOCKEY (IRE)(R Mullen) shifted in, which resulted in TOBACO (ARG)(P Dobbs), which was racing greenly, being carried inwards bumping heavily with EXPO TWENTY (IRE). At this stage of the race MOUNTAIN LION (IRE)(H Crouch) shifted out slightly, carrying EXPO TWENTY (IRE) outwards. Whilst accepting there were contributing circumstances to this incident, Jockey R Mullen was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for permitting his mount to shift ground when not sufficiently clear and was advised that in future he would be expected to stop using his whip and straighten his mount.

He further added that the gelding will also be better suited to a turf surface. JUTLAND (GB) – (S Hitchcott): Shifted in quickly shortly after the start. LANARK (IRE) – (T O’Shea): Acting on veterinary advice that the colt had filling in its right fore tendon and therefore unsuitable to race, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the colt at 2:35pm. Trainer Mr A Al Raihe was notified that prior to the colt being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the colt.
