JUST A PENNY (IRE) – (P Dobbs): Passing the 1200 metres shifted out making the turn awkwardly. Lay outwards near the 1100 metres. AKEED CHAMPION (GB) – (R Mullen): Hung out at the turn near the 1200 metres. Rider reported that the colt did not handle the 1200 metres turn and in his opinion may have struck itself in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. HUNTERS CREEK (IRE) – (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. Passing the 1100 metres had to be steadied. MONOLIGHT (GB) – (C Hayes): Slow to begin. Made the turn at the 1200 metres awkwardly. Lay inwards in the straight. ORMINDO (USA) – (F Jara): Stumbled on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a laceration to its left hind leg. LIFE AND TIMES (USA) – (M Monaghan): Raced ungenerously in the early stages and made the turn at the 1200 metres extremely awkwardly and raced wide on the track. CAVALLUCCI (IRE) – (G Buckell): Steadied and shifted outwards approaching the 1100 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for CAVALLUCCI (IRE) (G Buckell) steadying and shifting outwards near the 1100 metres. On inquiry it was established that prior to this incident JUST A PENNY (IRE)(P Dobbs) had lay outwards shifting wider on the track and then shortly after shifted back. CAVALLUCCI (IRE) which was racing back and to the inside of JUST A PENNY steadied and shifted outwards. Stewards accepted that JUST A PENNY (IRE) was shifting ground in running and did not proceed any further with the matter.

INDIANA JONES (ARG) – (J Rosales): Slow to begin. General: Jockey X Ziani (RICH AND RIGHTEOUS (IRE)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess in that he used the whip on one extra occasion than permitted. X Ziani was further reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle on one occasion whilst holding the whip in the forehand.
