ALMASHOOQA (AUS) – (P Hanagan): Rider reported that the filly became agitated in the barrier prior to the start and became extremely unsettled. Had a tendency to over-race in the middle stages. DOLLY DAGGER (SWE) – (T O’Shea): Shifted inwards on jumping. HIGH START (USA) – (S Hitchcott): Bumped on jumping. POLAR RIVER (USA) – (P Dobbs): Restrained approaching the 1100 metres losing ground. Bumped approaching the 400 metres when attempting to angle outwards. PURE DIAMOND (GB) – (W Buick): Slow to begin and then bumped shortly after. General: Jockey J Doyle (PROMISING RUN (USA)) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), in that approaching the 1100 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of POLAR RIVER (USA) (P Dobbs), resulting in that filly having to be restrained. J Doyle had his license to ride in races suspended for two race meetings (Abu Dhabi 24.01.2016 & Meydan 28.01.2016). In accessing penalty Stewards deemed the interference to be in the mid-range and took into account his good careless riding record and guilty plea.
