AF QASSAMAH (AE) – (S Hitchcott): As a start was effected, the mare reared and did not leave the barrier taking no part in the race. Trainer Ms. V Aske was notified that prior to the mare being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. MO REYAH AL RAQESA (AE) – (R Mullen): After being placed into the barrier became extremely fractious and became wedged in the barrier. Subsequently underwent a veterinary examination. Acting on veterinary advice Stewards withdrew the mare at 7.01pm. Trainer Mr S Al Mazrouei was notified that prior to the mare being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. General: Stewards inquired into Jockey O Murphy (ES SAMRAH (AE)) not wearing a body protector when weighing out. Jockey Murphy explained that he had inadvertently weighed out without his body protector which came about when he changed his apparel. Jockey Murphy weighed out at 53.5kgs - .5kg above his allotted weight. Whilst accepting Mr Murphy’s explanation, he was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 58(iii) for failing to weigh out with a body protector. O Murphy was further fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 65(ii) for weighing in more than half a kilogram above the weight declared.
