PINTER (GB) – (S Hitchcott): When leaving the saddling enclosure the gelding became extremely fractious, breaking free from its handler and galloped riderless to the barriers where it was recaptured. Underwent a veterinary examination and passed suitable to race. Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Slow into stride and then bumped losing further ground. GLOBAL CITY (IRE) – (R Mullen): Hung in under pressure in the straight. HAMMURABI (IRE) – (A De Vries): Acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame in the right hind leg, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 12.12pm. Trainer Mr S Seemar was notified that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the gelding. CROWDMANIA (GB) – (M Monaghan): Raced wide without cover throughout.

EXPERT (IRE) – (M Monaghan): When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding, Assistant Trainer Mr C Piccioni, explained that the gelding had been very disappointing in recent runs and today he instructed the rider to drop the gelding out and improve through the field which was different to the gelding’s usual racing pattern. He further added that the gelding had been suited by today’s track conditions. STATE LAW (IRE) – (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. Lay outwards approaching the 300 metres. CROWDED (GB) – (X Ziani): Underwent a veterinary examination after brushing the running rail leaving the mounting enclosure and passed suitable to race. Raced wide without cover throughout.

EARTH TOUR (GB) – (J Santiago): Slow to begin. SKYGAZER (IRE) – (T O’Shea): Was unruly and fractious in the barrier prior to a start. As a result the rider dismounted in an attempt to settle the colt. At the same time a start was effected with the colt jumping with the field riderless. As the colt had been denied a fair start, under the provisions of ERA Rule 20(ix)(c), Stewards ordered that the colt be declared a non-runner.
