AL BORAQ (USA) - (C Noble): Bumped on jumping. AL ZEEM (USA) - (D O'Neill): When exiting the tunnel to the track, the colt reared over dislodging its rider. On arrival at the barrier, the colt underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Was fractious in the barrier prior to the start, rearing up dislodging its rider and then attempted to sit down. As the gates opened the colt again became extremely fractious and sat down in the barrier, taking no part in the race. Due to the pre-race behaviour and severity of the colt’s manners in the barrier, Trainer Mr A bin Harmash was notified that prior to the colt being entered to race again it must complete two satisfactory stalls tests. KAHRAB (IRE) - (B Reis): Slow to begin. SBOOG (USA) - (R Ffrench): Shifted in and brushed the running rail near the 1000 metres. Rider reported that the colt hung left throughout the race. DON'T LIE KITTEN (USA) - (X Ziani): Bumped on jumping. Shifted out under pressure in the straight. LEAP OF HOPE (USA) - (R Mullen): Lay out rounding the home turn.

When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider could offer no explanation other than the gelding failed to run on when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. GAMEPLAY (GB) - (C Figueroa): Failed to muster early speed after jumping. SHORT DISTANCE (USA) - (A de Vries): Whilst in the parade ring, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the right hind leg. Subsequently acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the colt at 7:32 pm. The trainer’s representative of Ms B Deutrom, Mr. O Aashour, was notified that prior to the colt being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the colt. STILL LIFE (GB) - (T O'Shea): Reared on jumping and lost ground. TALLOIRE (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Passing the 1300 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room. Lost its left fore plate during the race. ROMOSH (IRE) - (B Reis): Stood flat-footed and lost ground (5 lengths). FORGIVETHENFORGET (GB) - (A Fresu): Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. General: Jockey R Ffrench (CRIMINALISTIC (GB)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), for carelessly permitting his mount to shift in passing the 1300 metres, resulting in TALLOIRE (USA)(S Hitchcott) having to be steadied.

DAIRAM (USA) - (D O'Neill): Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner. Held up for a clear run approaching and passing the 400 metres. Rider reported that the horse failed to show any early speed and as a result settled further back in the field than intended. He added, after being held up in the early part of the straight the horse ran on fairly. LEHAAF (ARG) - (C Noble): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have blood in its right nostril. INDESCRIBABLE (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Knuckled on jumping, then shifted out and bumped with another runner.
