A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. BON BAISER DE FAUST (FR) - (S Hitchcott): Bumped by another runner after passing the winning post. AZIZ (PL) - (F Jara): Bumped on jumping. BABEL D'AILLAS (FR) - (P Sirigu): Tightened for room on jumping. BADIRA DE MONLAU (FR) - (A Fresu): Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner. HAMZA (AE) - (T O'Shea): Passing the winning post on the first occasion, commenced to hang outwards until approaching the 1400 metres SAUTERNES AL MAURY (FR) - (D O'Neill): Bumped by another runner after passing the winning post. On the evidence and available footage it was established that VIVERNUS (USA) had to be steadied when tightened for room between GLOBALIST (GER)(B Reis), which shifted out marginally leading up to the 1900 metres and PURPLE WIND (IRE)(C O’Donoghue), which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. Jockey C O’Donoghue was advised to exercise more care in a similar situation.

Over-raced passing the winning post on the first occasion. INTERPRET (USA) - (G Buckell): Bumped on jumping. ETIJAAH (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. STORM BELT (USA) - (F Jara): When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, Trainer Mr. D Watson explained that STORM BELT (USA) had improved from its first up run and he instructed the rider to be more positive from the barrier and take up a forward position, which he believed was the main reason for the form reversal. HUNTING GROUND (USA) - (S Al Mazrooei): Commenced awkwardly. CANDY BOY (USA) - (P Dobbs): Commenced awkwardly. Rider reported that approaching the 600 metres the horse felt amiss in its action and for this reason eased CANDY BOY (USA) out of the race. An initial veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A subsequent veterinary examination of CANDY BOY (USA) after he had cooled down, revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore leg. Trainer Mr D Watson was notified that prior to the horse being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the horse. PRINCE OF ALL (GB) - (D O'Neill): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, the rider explained that PRINCE OF ALL (GB) raced keen in the early stages and wide without cover. He added that PRINCE OF ALL (GB) commenced to give ground from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

MAFTOOL (USA) - (D O'Neill): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider reported that MAFTOOL (USA) commenced to give ground quickly approaching the 600 metres, however appeared to pull up sound in its action. FARRIER (USA) - (R Mullen): Tightened for room on jumping. From the 800 metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner and approaching the 600 metres had to be restrained. LE BERNARDIN (USA) - (T O'Shea): Approaching the 400 metres shifted out when struck with the whip. FRANKYFOURFINGERS (FR) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. Restrained when tightened for room approaching the 400 metres. FITZGERALD (USA) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. Lay in under pressure from the 300 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for FARRIER (USA)(R Mullen) having to be restrained approaching the 600 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that FARRIER (USA), was awkwardly placed to the inside of MAFTOOL (USA)(D O’Neill), from the 800 metres until the 600 metres. Approaching the 600 metres R Mullen, the rider of FARRIER (USA), elected to restrain his mount and shift outwards to obtain a clear run. Stewards noted R Mullen’s explanation and could not be satisfied that there was a shift inwards by MAFTOOL (USA), however advised both riders to exercise more care in a similar situation. Stewards inquired into the reason for FRANKYFOURFINGERS (FR)(R Hitchcott) having to be restrained approaching the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 400 metres FRANKYFOURFINGERS (FR) had to be restrained when tightened for room between FITZGERALD (USA)(A Fresu) and LE BERNARDIN (USA)(T O’Shea), which shifted out when being struck by the whip. Stewards noted that T O’Shea corrected his mount as soon as it shifted outwards and for this reason no action was taken.
