ROYAL REVIVAL (GB) - (C Noble): Commenced awkwardly. PHILOSOPHER (IRE) - (R Ffrench): Got its head up when over-racing in the early stages. SECURE ACCESS (USA) - (C Hayes): Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. ESTIDRAAK (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. Passing the 1400 metres raced tight to the inside of another runner for a short distance. GROOR (GB) - (O Murphy): Slow to begin. Shortly after the start over-raced for a short distance. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider explained that GROOR (GB) travelled well in the early and the middle stages, however on straightening commenced to weaken, felt amiss in its action and for this reason he eased the horse out of the race and failed to finish. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. RESONANT (IRE) - (S Hitchcott): Shifted in on jumping and bumped another runner. Steadied when tightened for room near the 300 metres when weakening. JAAREF (IRE) - (J Crowley): Slow to begin. Was held up for a clear run in the early part of the straight. OSTAAD (IRE) - (D O'Neill): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding, trainer Mr D Watson could offer no reasonable explanation other than the gelding had been working well in the lead up to tonight’s meeting and that the stable could not find anything amiss with OSTAAD (IRE) following its most recent runs when disappointing.

DUNDONNELL (USA) - (C Soumillon): Bumped on jumping. Near the 200 metres had to be restrained to avoid the heels of another runner. FABULOUS ONE (NZ) - (O Murphy): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. Pulled hard in the early and the middle stages. On return to scale the rider reported that the gelding lost its action in the early part of the straight and for this reason he did not persist in riding FABULOUS ONE (NZ) out in his normal manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. MAIN STAY (KOR) - (P Cosgrave): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind leg. Trainer Mr Y-Kwan Kim was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for MAIN STAY (KOR). COMICAS (USA) - (W Buick): Hung out throughout the race and in the straight shifted ground outwards when under pressure. ACOLYTE (IRE) - (H Bentley): On straightening raced in restricted room for a short distance. SAVING KENNY (IRE) - (P Graberg): Whilst in the tunnel proceeding onto the track the horse became fractious and got momentarily loose before being recaptured. On arrival at the barrier SAVING KENNY (IRE) was examined by the veterinarian and passed suitable to race. The tongue tie had to be refitted at the barrier and as a result the race was delayed by 2 minutes. General: Correct weight was delayed to allow the Stewards an opportunity to available footage of an incident near the 200 metres, to establish if there were sufficient grounds to lodge an objection on behalf of the connections of DUNDONNELL (USA). As Stewards did not believe that any interference suffered would have warranted a reversal of placings, correct weight was declared. Stewards inquired into the reason for DUNDONNELL (USA)(C Soumillon) having to be restrained near the 200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that COMICAS (USA)(W Buick), which had been hanging out throughout the race hung out for the majority of the straight when under pressure and near the 200 metres DUNDONNELL (USA), which was racing to the outside of COMICAS (USA), had to be restrained as a result. Jockey W Buick was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding and he was advised that although the gelding was hanging out, he would be expected to stop to straighten his mount in a similar situation.

VIREN'S ARMY (IRE) - (W Buick): Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. General: Trainer Mr F Nass (LOS BARBADOS (IRE)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 65(ii) for replacing the girth of rider G.
