ASATIR (USA) - (A Fresu): Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping. LEHAAF (ARG) - (G Buckell): On return to scale the rider reported the gelding made a respiratory noise throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg and to have a slow recovery rate. Trainer Ms M Ritchie was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again she must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for LEHAAF (ARG). LEHBAB (IRE) - (M Monaghan): Severely tightened for room and had to be checked inside the 1200 metres. ANBAR (GB) - (C Hayes): Commenced awkwardly CACHAO (GB) - (C O'Donoghue): Bumped on jumping. NICE FUTURE (IRE) - (I Koyuncu): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner JINTSHI (GB) - (R Mullen): Bumped on jumping. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. SOGNO D'AMORE (USA) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin and bumped by another runner shortly after. PRADESH (IRE) - (G Avranche): Severely tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. General: Apprentice I Koyuncu (NICE FUTURE (IRE)) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the particulars being that shortly inside the 1200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear, resulting in ARCHAIC (IRE)(F Jara) being restrained when tightened for room and taken inwards onto LEHBAB (IRE) (M Monaghan), resulting in that horse having to be severely checked for several strides. I Koyuncu had his license to ride in races suspended for four race meetings (to commence at the start of the 2017/2018 ERA racing season). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account I Koyuncu’s guilty plea, poor careless riding record and deemed the interference to be in the high-range. Apprentice I Koyuncu (NICE FUTURE (IRE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for using his whip forward of the saddle in the forehand.

EXPRESS AL REEF (AE) - (G Avranche): Became extremely fractious after being placed in the barrier, rearing and getting its two front legs over the gate. Acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of EXPRESS AL REEF (AE) at 6:30pm.
