INAYAT W'RSAN (AE) - (R Mullen): Rider reported that the horse hung left throughout and he was unable to ride INAYAT W”RSAN (AE) out in his normal manner. MAWAHIB (AE) - (G Avranche): Bumped at the start before being hampered by another runner and losing ground as a result. Passing the 400 metres was bumped by another runner on a number of occasions. Shifted out at the 200 metres. RAHEEB AL REEF (AE) - (J Santiago): Began awkwardly. Taken out by another runner near the 200 metres. General: Jockey P Sirigu (AF AL MAWHEBAH (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(ii) for using the whip when out of contention. Trainer Mr M Ramadan was fined AED 500 under the provisions of Instruction 22 for using an ice treatment on AF AL MAWHEBAH (AE) prior to the race.

FAHDHAN W'RSAN (AE) - (M Monaghan): Slow to begin. On return to scale the rider reported that the horse hung right throughout. MAHRUSS W'RSAN (AE) - (B Reis): Slow to begin. QAIS W'RSAN (AE) - (C Noble): Approaching the 400 metres had to be restrained when tightened for room. VLAD ALAWDA (AE) - (G Buckell): Raced wide without cover in the early stages. AS BOUSHRA (AE) - (A Fresu): Taken inwards by another runner approaching the 400 metres. ES SAMRAH (AE) - (Adrie de Vries): Began awkwardly. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for DAHHAM W’RSAN (AE)(R Ffrench) having to be steadied near the 1200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that QAIS W’RSAN (AE)(C Noble) shifted in when not sufficiently clear resulting in DAHHAM W’RSAN (AE), resulting in that horse having to be steadied. Stewards noted Jockey R Ffrench’s explanation that he was also attempting to restrain his mount at this stage to take up a position behind the leaders. Apprentice C Noble was advised to exercise more care in a similar situation. Stewards inquired into the reason for QAIS W’RSAN (AE)(C Noble) having to be restrained approaching the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that QAIS W’RSAN had to be restrained off the heels of AS BOUSHRA (AE)(A Fresu), which shifted in away from ES SAMRAH (AE)(A de Vries), which was shifting in at this stage. DAHHAM W’RSAN (AE)(R Ffrench) which was following QAIS W’RSAN (AE) also had to be steadied as a result. Jockey A de Vries was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

TAAJ (AUS) - (C O'Donoghue): Approaching the 100 metres had to shift inwards to obtain a clear run. CONQUERANT (GB) - (A de Vries): Steadied when tightened for room near the 1200 metres. FOREVERTHEOPTIMIST (IRE) - (Adam McLean): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Ms B Deutrom was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 90 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or Veterinary officer.
