Restrained leaving the straight on the first occasion when over-racing. AF MARRAH (AE) - (R Mullen): Shifted in on jumping and bumped another runner. AMWAJ (FR) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly and then was bumped by another runner. MAWAHIB (FR) - (R Ffrench): Became fractious in the barrier and became cast. Acting on veterinary advice, the filly was withdrawn at 6:30 pm. Trainer Mr E Lemartinel was notified that prior to the filly being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. TAHANY (FR) - (H Bentley): Tightened for room on jumping. Over-raced in the early stages. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for LAHEEB (GB)(A AL Siyabi) being tightened for room and restrained leaving the straight on the first occasion. It was established that near the 1900 metres TIJAARA (GB)(A Fresu) shifted in when not quite clear of LAHEEB (GB), resulting in that colt having to be restrained. In considering this incident, Stewards noted the racing manners of LAHEEB (GB) and that LAHEEB (GB) had maintained a position to the inside of TIJAARA (GB) for some distance, however also took into account that TIJAARA (GB) had jumped from barrier one and rider A Fresu had not expected a runner to improve into a position to his inside at that point. All riders were reminded to exercise more care in a similar situation.
