INAYAT W'RSAN (AE) - (R Mullen): Leaving the straight on the first occasion taken wider off the course by another runner. Got its head up when being restrained. MOR'EB (AE) - (S Mazur): Severely hampered by another runner shortly after the start. AMEER AL SRAYA (AE) - (T O'Shea): Leaving the straight on the first occasion was forced wider off the track by another runner. BAROUD DE RODAIM (AE) - (X Ziani): Shifted out on jumping, bumping another runner and became unbalanced. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion shifted out abruptly. Rounding the home turn commenced to hang right and in the early part of the straight shifted out abruptly whilst hanging to the outside of the track. When questioned regarding the racing manners of the gelding, Trainer Mr S Al Mazrooei explained that BAROUD DE RODAIM (AE) was having his first start at Sharjah, racing in an anti-clockwise direction and it was his intention to run the gelding at other tracks than Sharjah. MAHRUSS W'RSAN (AE) - (J Butterfield): Severely hampered by another runner shortly after the start. Raced extremely wide without cover from the 1500 metres. QAIS W'RSAN (AE) - (M Monaghan): Hampered at the start. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Rider reported that the horse was reluctant to race throughout. WALD JOHNNY (AE) - (J Rosales): Knuckled shortly after the start then shifted in and hampered another runner. AF SSEBA (AE) - (A Fresu): Passing the winning post on the first occasion had to be steadied off heels. ES ZAFEER (AE) - (G Buckell): Began awkwardly, shifted out and hampered other runners. Approaching the 1400 metres had to be steadied off heels. General: Jockey R Ffrench (FATTAL (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 14 occasions. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account that it was R Ffrench’s first breach of this rule for the season.
