General: Stewards inquired into interference at the turn out of the back straight near the 1000 metres where MH KANZ (AE) (A Fresu) was tightened for room and lost ground. It was established that for some distance leading up to the incident MH KANZ (AE) was racing tight to the inside of MONAWER (AE)(F Jara), which itself was racing tight to the inside of MEN ALEMARAT(AE)(G Avranche). As Stewards could not blame any particular rider for shifting ground in the lead up to this incident, all riders were reminded to take care in similar circumstances.

Trainer Mr H Al Alawi was notified that prior to AK ADOUR (FR) being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for the horse. ASLAAN (FR) - (P Dobbs): Lay out under pressure in the early part of the straight. BABEL D'AILLAS (FR) - (M Monaghan): Tightened for room on jumping. BURNING BREEZE (US) - (C Hayes): Raced wide without cover in the middle stages. On return to scale the rider reported that the horse hung left throughout and in his opinion was short in its action. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. NASHMEE (FR) - (N Barzalona): Slow to begin. RB SO RICH (US) - (P Cosgrave): Was fractious in the parade ring prior to the start dislodging its rider. Approaching the winning post was taken in by another runner.
