UNTOLD SECRET (GB) - (R Ffrench): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that UNTOLD SECRET (GB) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. MORI YOSHINARI (IRE) - (S De Sousa): Following the race, it was reported that the gelding had lost its right hind plate. SKYGAZER (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Stumbled on jumping. HELLO (IRE) - (O Murphy): Approaching the 1200 metres, commenced to race ungenerously. DON'T LIE KITTEN (USA) - (C Beasley): Resented the kickback throughout the race. General: Jockey P Cosgrave (GRAND DAUPHIN (USA)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand. Jockey C O'Donoghue (ASATIR (USA)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for hitting his mount continuously without giving it a chance to respond. In assessing penalty, Stewards noted that this was C O’Donoghue’s second breach of this rule for the season.

CROSS STEP (USA) - (P Sirigu): On jumping, was bumped by another runner. GAVROCHE (USA) - (F Jara): Raced wide without cover throughout. MUBAJAL (GB) - (C Beasley): Acting on veterinary advice, that MUBAJAL (GB) was unsuitable to race due to being fractious in the horse box when being transported to the course and suffered a laceration to the head, with blood present in the left nostril, the Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 1:51 pm. Mr A bin Harmash was advised that prior to the gelding being permitted to race again, he must provide a certificate of fitness for MUBAJAL (GB). QUARTIER FRANCAIS (USA) - (T O'Shea): On jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner.

General: Trainer Mr O Daraj (HYALINE (USA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 68(i) for failing to have the colt on course one (1) hour before the start his respective race. EPSILON (USA) - (C Beasley): Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to having blood in its mouth and was passed suitable to race. SKY JOCKEY (GB) - (R Mullen): Fractious in the barrier, commenced awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider explained that after beginning awkwardly, the gelding never travelled throughout. He added that in his opinion SKY JOCKEY (GB) may be better suited at racing at a different venue. A post-race endoscopic examination revealed the gelding to have some EIPH, which may have affected its performance. JINTSHI (GB) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped by another runner over the concluding stages. MUHAARIB (IRE) - (A de Vries): Restrained in the early stages. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that MUHAARIB (IRE) after jumping from a wide barrier, settling towards the rear of the field and was outpaced, never travelling well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

MUQAATIL (USA) - (S De Sousa): Shifted out at the start and hampered another runner. Near the 1200 metres bumped another runner and had to be restrained. PERFECT SENSE (GB) - (P Cosgrave): Hampered at the start between other runners. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider explained that PERFECT SENSE (GB) did not begin well and never travelled well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. NALOUT (USA) - (S Davis): Shifted in at the start, bumping another runner and was then hampered. Lay out under pressure near the 700 metres. General: Stewards inquired into reason for DUBAWI’S THUNDER (GB)(J Egan) and MUQAATIL (USA)(S De Sousa) being tightened for room near the 1200 metres. On the evidence and available footage is was established that near the 1200 metres MUQAATIL (USA), shifted in away from DANGEROUS THOUGHT (USA)(P Dobbs), which was shifting in. As a result MUQAATIL (USA) shifted in and bumped DUBAWI’S THUNDER (GB), which was racing tight to the outside of AL WHAAD (USA)(C Beasley), resulting in both runners being tightened for room and having to be restrained. As the Stewards could not attribute blame to anyone rider, no action was taken other than to advise all riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.
