HYMENAIOS (IRE) - (A McLean): Slow to begin. STRONG CHEMISTRY (GB) - (B Pinheiro): Near the 1300 metres eased off the heels of another runner. FAST ENOUGH (IRE) - (S Hitchcott): As the start was affected, refused to jump and took no part in the race. Trainer Mr D Watson was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. KOWAIYESS (IRE) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Over-raced in the early stages. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that KOWAIYESS (IRE) is better suited to racing over a shorter distance and in today’s event raced keenly and had a tendency to hang left. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MEARS (USA) - (J Crowley): Near the 1300 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room. STILL LIFE (GB) - (T O'Shea): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. On return to scale, the rider advised that the gelding stumbled approaching the turn near the 1200 metres and then felt amiss in its action, resulting STILL LIFE (GB) being eased out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a mild abrasion to the right shoulder. Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test.
