MATHEMATICS (GB) - (P Sirigu): After being placed in the barrier, got its head down. Was removed and underwent a veterinary examination before being passed suitable to start. Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout. SNOWBOARDER (USA) - (J Egan): On jumping, bumped by another runner. SPIRITOUS (USA) - (A Fresu): On jumping, bumped by another runner. TEMPUS TEMPORIS (USA) - (A McLean): On jumping, shifted in and bumped another runner. Eased down in the straight. On return to scale, the rider explained that the gelding commenced to give ground from the 1200 metres and in his opinion there was something amiss with TEMPUS TEMPORIS (USA). He added that shortly after this, he eased the gelding out of the race. A post-race endoscopic examination revealed TEMPUS TEMPORIS (USA) to have some EIPH, which may have affected its performance. SHEEBA (GB) - (Josh Quinn): On jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner. Over-raced in the early stages. Leaving the straight on the first occasion checked off heels when continuing to over-race. TICKET HOLDER (USA) - (F Jara): Leaving the straight on the first occasion, commenced to hang out. Raced ungenerously in the middles stages. Near the 1200 metres, had to be restrained when racing tight amongst other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some abrasions on the left and right hind-legs. STILL LIFE (GB) - (L Tarentaal): Acting on a report from the starter that the gelding was fractious in the barrier, Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. General: Trainer Mr M Hussain (TEMPUS TEMPORIS (USA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the gelding without blinkers and pacifiers and with visors. Stewards inquired into the reason for B Pinheiro (BUELLER (USA)) being replaced on the colt, when it was stated to the ERA that he was ill and unable to ride. After taking evidence from B Pinheiro, X Ziani, Mr Okbah Aashour (Assistant Trainer), Mr Sultan Harib (Stable connection) and Mr Sam Shinsky (Head ERA Steward), it was established that B Pinheiro was fit to fulfill his engagement, however, the stable was advised by Mr S Harib on Thursday evening that he no longer wanted B Pinherio to ride his horses or horses he manages. Stewards took exception to the reason given by the stable to replace B Pinheiro, when it was clearly evident that B Pinheiro was not ill. Mr Aashour pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of ERA Rule 11(f), in that he made a misleading statement for the reason to replace B Pinheiro as the rider of BUELLER (USA). Subsequently Mr Aashour was fined the sum of AED 3000 and advised of his right of appeal. As Mr S Shinsky was called upon as a witness in this inquiry, he was stood down from officiating and the inquiry was chaired by ERA Steward Mr Taylor Wilson.
