AL MOBHER (OM) - (A de Vries): Lost its left hind plate during the race. Over the concluding stages lay out and brushed another runner. JEEMI (FR) - (T O'Shea): Bumped on jumping. Near the 1500 metres had to be restrained when tightened for room. Over-raced in the early stages. AL WATAN (AE) - (C Beasley): Near the 1500 metres commenced to over-race when racing close to the heels of another runner. AZ DHABYAN (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Slow to begin. DUHIS W'RSAN (AE) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. Shortly after the start was hampered when bumped between other runners. Over-raced in the early stages. QASID W'RSAN (AE) - (Josh Quinn): Commenced awkwardly. Near the 1500 metres shifted in and away from another runner and commenced to race ungenerously when racing in restricted room. GOSHAWKE (US) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 1500 metres had to be restrained off the heels of another runner when tightened for room. NIZORA (FR) - (P Cosgrave): Slow to begin. Over the concluding stages, was brushed by another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for GOSHAWKE (US)(S Hitchcott) and JEEMI (FR)(T O’Shea) being tightened for room near the 1500 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1500 metres GOSHAWKE (US), had to be restrained off the heels of AL MOBHER (OM)(A De Vries) when being tightened for room from his outside by JEEMI (FR), which was taken inwards by QASID W’RSAN (AE)(J Quinn), resulting in JEEMI (FR) being tightened for room and having to be restrained. The shift inwards by QASID W’RSAN (AE) was due to the horse commencing to race ungenerously and shifting inwards away from AF KHADDAA (AE)(S De Sousa), which was shifting in. Stewards noted the evidence of S Hitchcott, on behalf of apprentice J Quinn, and took into account his inexperience, that he should have eased his mount sooner when racing in restricted room. Accordingly Stewards deemed the interference as a racing incident and took no direct action on any one rider, however advised S De Sousa that he must ensure he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground.
