Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer was advised that in the future he shall rely on his assistant trainers to relay his instructions if he is not present on course. Stewards inquired into the reason for BASATEEN (IRE) (S Hitchcott) having to be checked passing the 200 metres. On the evidence and available video footage, it was established that passing the 200 metres, VIN CHAUD (FR) (A Fresu) shifted in whilst under pressure and as a result the run for BASATEEN (IRE), which had not yet been established, closed and resulted in that gelding having to be checked. VIN CHAUD (FR) then shifted out under pressure taking BASATEEN (IRE) wider on the track. Jockey A Fresu was reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for allowing his mount to shift out over the concluding stages taking BASATEEN (IRE) wider.

BN HARMANY AL ZOBAIR (AE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly, bumped by another runner and lost ground. NAWWAF KB (FR) - (P Cosgrave): Restrained when tightened for room near the 200 metres. AF AL ASEF (AE) - (G Mešetovic): Commenced awkwardly and hampered by another runner. AF MUKHIFAH (AE) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. AF SAQUEL (AE) - (A Mclean): Bumped by another runner at the start and lost ground. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for NAWWAF KB (FR)(P Cosgrave) having to be restrained near the 200 metres. On the evidence and available video footage, it was established that NAWWAF KB (FR), had to be restrained when tightened for room between AF THOBOR (AE)(C Beasley), which shifted out marginally and AF AL MAWHEBAH (AE)(J Egan), which shifted in when racing ungenerously. As Stewards were of the view that the majority of the shift occurred by AF AL MAWHEBAH (AE) and J Egan did his upmost to keep his mount straight, no action was taken other than to advise all riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.
