When questioned, the rider explained that the horse was reluctant to race and failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. AF TAAZEF (AE) - (A Fresu): Shifted out at the start and bumped another runner. NAZIFAH W'RSAN (AE) - (S Davis): During its preliminary, took charge of its rider and galloped for some distance before being restrained. Acting on veterinary advice that the mare was unsuitable to race, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of NAZIFAH W'RSAN (AE) of 4.54pm. Trainer Ms. J Wickham was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare for her pre-race behavior. Ms. J Wickham advised that at the mare’s next start, she will request NAZIFAH W'RSAN (AE) to be ponied to the start. TURFA W'RSAN (AE) - (A McLean): Began awkwardly. General: Apprentice D Redmond (TURFA W'RSAN (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 34(vi) for failing to ride to his minimum riding weight and having to be replaced. As D Redmond was also unable to make the allocated weight in Race 6 and no apprentice was available, Stewards permitted J Santiago to replace D Redmond.

After the Stewards outlined that he would be liable to a penalty if they deemed an objection to be frivolous, no objection was lodged. SPIRITOUS (USA) - (P Sirigu): Underwent a veterinary examination due to having blood in its mouth and was passed suitable to race. TAAJ (AUS) - (R Mullen): Was bumped by another runner passing the 200 metres. WELL ACQUAINTED (IRE) - (D Redmond): Slow to begin and lost ground. When attempting a narrow run passing the 200 metres, bumped another runner. ELJEEMI (IRE) - (H Bentley): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a cut on its right fore coronet band. NAJM SUHAIL (GB) - (T O'Shea): On jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner. In the early part of the straight, lay inwards. Approaching the winning post, was accidentally struck on the head by the whip of another rider. IMMORTALISED (GB) - (A de Vries): Saddle had to be readjusted at the barrier. On jumping, shifted in and bumped another runner. PATHWAY TO HONOUR (GB) - (C Beasley): On jumping away was bumped by another runner. AF SARMUD (AE) - (A McLean): On jumping, was bumped by another runner. ES MAYDAN (AE) - (S Davis): Approaching the 300 metres, was bumped by another runner and had to be steadied. LIVE RICH (US) - (J Rosales): On jumping, was bumped by another runner. Near the 500 metres, had to be checked when racing close to heels. MOR'EB (AE) - (A Al Siyabi): Shortly after the start bumped by another runner. Passing the winning post on first occasion, raced ungenerously when racing close to heels. Raced wide without cover throughout. NAMROOD (FR) - (R Ffrench): On jumping bumped by another runner and hampered. TIJAARA (GB) - (R Mullen): Lay out passing the 1400 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for LIVE RICH (US)(J Rosales) having to be checked off heels near the 500 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 500 metres TIJAARA (GB)(R Mullen), lay out despite the efforts of its rider and in doing so shifted out resulting in LIVE RICH (US), which was racing ungenerously have to be checked off that filly’s heels. As Stewards deemed the interference occurred due to the racing manners of TIJAARA (GB), no action was taken other than to advise the riders to exercise care where possible. Stewards inquired into the reason for ES MAYDAN (AE)(S Davis) being bumped and having to be steadied approaching the 300 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 300 metres SHIVAN OA (NL)(P Cosgrave), shifted in under pressure and in doing so took BF MUGHADER (OM)(T O’Shea), which was racing tight between runners inwards and bumping with ES MAYDAN (AE). As a result of the bump ES MAYDAN (AE) had to be steadied. As P Cosgrave corrected and straightened his mount shortly after shifting ground inwards, the Stewards were satisfied that he had done his upmost to avoid this interference. Accordingly no action was taken other than to advise the riders to exercise care where possible.

On the evidence and available footage it was established that passing the winning post on the first occasion AF AL MEHLEB (AE)(I Poullis), which was racing ungenerously, shifted in abruptly and bumped IHTIRAM W’RSAN (AE), resulting in that horse having to be checked and shifting inwards onto MARAHIB (FR), which was bumped and shifted in abruptly onto HARAM AL REEF (AE), which had to be checked when tightened for room. As AF AL MEHLEB (AE) was racing ungenerously and I Poullis corrected and straightened his mount as soon as possible, the Stewards were satisfied that he had done his upmost to avoid this interference. Accordingly no action was taken other than to advise the riders to exercise care where possible. Apprentice S Davis (CARLOS DES CARRERE (FR)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for using the whip forward of the saddle whilst held in the forehand.
