AF SSAYEB (AE) - (A Fresu): Near 400 metres was bumped by another runner. Near the 100 metres, checked off heels of another runner which shifted in abruptly. RV MOULINS MONARCH (US) - (P Dobbs): Threw its head on jumping and lost ground. AF SANAD (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Passing 400 metres shifted out and bumped another runner. QADER (FR) - (R Mullen): Near 400 metres was inconvenienced when easing off heels of another runner. NAWARAT AL REEF (AE) - (F Jara): Raced ungenerously in the early stages. ARIF (FR) - (S Hitchcott): Near the 100 metres, checked to avoid the heels of another runner which shifted in abruptly. AF AL ALMAA (AE) – (H Bentley): Near the 100 metres, checked to avoid the heels of another runner which shifted in abruptly. AF ASHEHAM (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Raced ungenerously in the early stages and wide without cover. Near 400 metres was bumped by another runner. On return to scale, the rider reported that the saddle shifted near the 200 metres placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. AINHOA TOPCHEF (FR) - (J Crowley): Shifted in on jumping, taking another runner inwards. RB INFERNO (US) - (G Avranche): Slow to begin. BAINOONA (FR) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin. Near the 300 metres, shifted out abruptly when racing close to heels. WASABII (US) - (J Rosales): Tightened for room shortly after the start. General: Stewards inquired in to the reason for QADER (FR)(R Mullen) being inconvenienced near the 400 metres and interviewed P Cosgrave (AF ASHEHAM (AE)), A Fresu (AF SSAYEB (AE)) and B Pinheiro (AF SANAD (AE)). On the evidence, it was established that rounding the turn near the 400 metres, AF SANAD (AE) shifted out to obtain clear running while improving and in doing so shifted wider than it’s rider had intended, bumping with AF SSAYEB (AE) which shifted out and bumped AF ASHEHAM (AE) which in turn shifted outwards, obliging QADER (FR) having to ease off that horse’s heels. In considering appropriate action, Stewards noted that the interference to QADER (FR)(R Mullen) was negligible and that B Pinheiro (AF SANAD (AE)) had attempted to straighten his mount prior to the interference occurring, however issued a reprimand to B Pinheiro under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) (careless riding) and advised him to exercise more care in a similar situation. Steward inquired into the reason for ARIF (FR)(S Hitchcott) and AF AL ALMAA (AE)(H Bentley) both having to be checked near the 100 metres. On the evidence and available footage, it was established that near the 200 metres P Cosgrave’s (AF ASHEHAM (AE)) saddle had commenced to slip sideways and despite his best effort, the hose shifted inwards abruptly near the 100 metres and tightened the running of ARIF (FR) and AF AL ALMAA (AE), which both had to be checked. As the Stewards were satisfied the shift occurred due the saddle shifting and that P Cosgrave had attempted to stop AF ASHEHAM (AE) from shifting in, the incident was reported as a racing incident.

Stewards' Reports for Wrappin Up
MUZAHIM (FR) - (S Al Balushi): Near 200 metres taken in by another runner. Lost its left front-plate during the race. AL TIRYAQ (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly and raced ungenerously in the early stages. BF MUGHADER (OM) - (A Fresu): Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. DEYAAR (FR) - (T O'Shea): Near 200 metres shifted in away from another runner. MOLAHEN EL ALHAN (AE) - (J Rosales): Over-raced in the early stages. Lay in near the 200 metres. SHIVAN OA (NL) - (X Ziani): Near 200 metres restrained when tightened for room. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for SHIVAN OA (NL) being tightened for room and hampered near the 200 metres. It was established that approaching the 200 metres DEYAAR (FR) shifted in away from MOLAHEN EL ALHAN (AE) (J Rosales), which itself was shifting in. As this occurred MUZAHIM (FR), which was racing to the inside of DEYAAR (FR), shifted out towards DEYAAR (FR) before being taken back in by that mare and tightened the running of SHIVAN OA (NL). Jockey J Rosales (MOLAHEN EL ALHAN (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for permitting his mount to shift in when not clear of other runners and advised to exercise greater care in future.
