ANBAR (GB) - (L Tarentaal): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. On return to scale, the rider advised that the horse felt lame on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH which may have affected its performance. IMPRISON (FR) - (A de Vries): Travelled wide without cover in the early part of the race. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that IMPRISON (FR) will be better suited racing over a further distance. OCEAN BLUFF (USA) - (F Jara): Stumbled on jumping. SHORT DISTANCE (USA) - (A McLean): Commenced awkwardly. AQLAAM HUNT (IRE) - (G Mosse): Slow to begin. SHESAIDYES (IRE) - (J Quinn): Slow to begin. General: Trainer Mr O Daraj (GENERAL LINE (USA)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 68(i) for failing to have his runner on course 60 minutes prior to the starting time of the race. Stewards took into account this was Mr O Daraj’s second offence under this rule for the season.

PIRATE'S COVE (IRE) - (X Ziani): When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider explained that he was unable to obtain a soft lead and therefore the gelding failed to run on as expected. JAYED JIDAN (IRE) - (C Beasley): Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 300 metres was severely hampered when avoiding a fallen runner and had to be restrained. ALAREEF (SAF) - (J Crowley): Tightened for room on jumping. Near the 300 metres was severely inconvenienced by a fallen runner, unbalancing its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from one nostril. MUSHAAKIS (IRE) - (D O'Neill): Travelled wide without cover in the early part of the race. Approaching the 300 metres, MUSHAAKIS (IRE) fell and dislodged its rider. MUSHAAKIS (IRE) was transported to the Dubai Equine Hospital for further assessment and was subsequently humanely euthanized with an injury to its left foreleg. AJRAAM (USA) - (F Jara): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. MOOSIR (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Shifted in on jumping and bumped another runner. VIN CHAUD (FR) - (A Fresu): Travelled wide without cover in the early part of the race. Over-raced throughout the race. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider explained that the gelding is a difficult horse to ride as it pulls hard, which it did on this occasion. He added that VIN CHAUD (FR) commenced to hang outwards rounding the home turn into the straight and proved extremely difficult to ride in his normal manner. Trainer Mr E Charpy was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding regarding its racing manners. PILOTE (IRE) - (X Ziani): Slow to begin and then bumped by another runner shortly after. Near the 1100 metres, had to be restrained when racing in restricted room. Rider reported that the horse stopped very quickly and its stride shortened as though there was something amiss in the straight. BAROOT (GB) - (P Cosgrave): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. Was brushed by another runner over the concluding stages. OSTAAD (IRE) - (H Bentley): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. GOOD TRIP (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin and tightened for room shortly after. Shifted in under pressure over the final 200 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, the representative for Mr A Al Rayhi explained that GOOD TRIP (IRE) was better suited racing over a lessor distance than it did at its last start and appreciated the drop in class. AZMAAM (IRE) - (J Rosales): Held up for clear running in the early part of the straight. SILENT BULLET (IRE) - (A de Vries): Shifted out on jumping. TAFAAKHOR (IRE) - (J Crowley): Held up for clear running in the early part of the straight. WINSLOW (USA) - (P Dobbs): Refused to jump and took no part in the race. Trainer Mr D Watson was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. ARIDITY (IRE) - (J Quinn): Slow to begin. Brushed another runner over the concluding stages. MR KHALID (GB) - (S Hitchcott): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner.
