MUARRAB (GB) - (B Curtis): Jockey B Curtis MUARRAB (GB) could offer no explanation for the gelding’s disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RUSUMAAT (IRE) - (D O'Neill): Bumped another runner on jumping. WAADY (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Near the 1000 metres shifted in when over-racing. FAROOK (IRE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. RIFLESCOPE (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Bumped another runner on jumping. Near the 200 metres had to ease off heels when tightened for room. General: Stewards inquired into an incident near the 200 metres where RIFLESCOPE (IRE)(T O'Shea) eased off the heels HIGH ON LIFE (GB)(R Ffrench). On the evidence it was established that RIFLESCOPE (IRE) was attempting a tight run between WAADY (IRE)(P Dobbs) and HIGH ON LIFE (GB) when HIGH ON LIFE (GB), which had commenced to weaken, lay in. As Stewards were of the belief that there was initially marginal running for RIFLESCOPE (IRE), which was tightened further by WAADY (IRE) shifting out slightly, Stewards reprimanded Jockey R Ffrench for permitting his mount to shift ground when not sufficiently clear of other runners.
