GRAND ARGENTIER (FR) - (D O'Neill): On jumping was bumped severely by another runner. STORM BELT (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. Near the 800 metres shifted out to avoid the heels of the weakening runner. TRIED AND TRUE (USA) - (P Dobbs): Shortly after the start was brushed by another runner. DIRECT MESSAGE (USA) - (F Jara): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner before becoming unbalanced and losing ground. BOIS DE BOULOGNE (USA) - (R Ffrench): Bumped on jumping. Near the 800 metres hampered by another runner. SA'ADA (USA) - (C Beasley): On arrival to the barrier underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Near the 800 momentarily tightened for room and hampered. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly, the rider explained that SA'ADA (USA) travelled well in the early stages, however gave ground quickly when put under pressure near the 1000 metres. He added the filly felt normal in its action on return to scale. General: Stewards inquired into the incident at the 800 metres where SA'ADA (USA)(C Beasley) was momentarily tightened for room and hampered, where it appeared that SEA SKIMMER (GB)(W Lee) shifted in. Jockey W Lee explained that as SA'ADA (USA) had weakened to his inside his mount attempted to shift in to the created void, before he was able to straighten the gelding. On the available evidence, Stewards acknowledged that Jockey W Lee had made sufficient effort to correct SEA SKIMMER (GB) in the circumstances as they would expect and took no further action.
