AF AL WOJOOD (AE) - (I Koyuncu): After arriving on course underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Began awkwardly and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right fore-leg. Trainer Mr A Al Shamsi was advised that prior to the gelding being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AF AL WOJOOD (AE). AF MOMTAZ (AE) - (B Curtis): On return to scale the rider advised the horse hung left throughout. HK BULLDOZER (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Stood flat-footed and lost ground (10 lengths). When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, the rider explained that HK BULLDOZER (AE) never responded to his riding throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr K Al Neyadi was advised that prior to the colt entering to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. KASER AL RAWASI (AE) - (G Buckell): Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Bumped near the 1200 metres. MA'AALY (AE) - (R Mullen): Near the 1200 metres bumped severely by another runner, shifted out and hampered another runner. MH WARI (AE) - (A Fresu): Raced ungenerously in the straight. JAP TASTAQTEB (AE) - (R Ffrench): Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 1200 metres after being restrained shifted out abruptly and made contact with another runner. TANAASEM AL REEF (AE) - (F Jara): Raced wide without cover in the early stages. TURFA W'RSAN (AE) - (W Lee): From the 200 metres commenced to lay out. Shifted out abruptly when shying at the winning post. General: Stewards inquired into interference between MA'AALY (AE)(R Mullen) and JAP TASTAQTEB (AE)(R French) near the 1200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1200 metres JAP TASTAQTEB (AE) while being restrained shifted out and bumped MA’AALY (AE), which also shifted out and bumped KASER AL RAWASI (AE)(G Buckell). Stewards acknowledged the evidence from Jockey R Mullen and Jockey R Ffrench that their respective mounts were racing ungenerously at this point, and took no direct action against either rider. Trainer Mr A Adam (AF TAYESH (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late request for the gelding to race in blinkers.
