ALEKO (GB) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted out and hampered another runner. KUNANI (USA) - (B Curtis): Difficult to load. Trainer Mr M Al Mheiri was advised that the gelding must complete a stalls test prior to entering to race again. NIZAAL (GB) - (P Cosgrave): When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, the rider could offer no explanation other than NIZAAL (GB) may not have recovered from its last start 14 days ago. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. HAWKER (GB) - (P Dobbs): Slow to begin. Momentarily held up for clear running approaching the 400 metres. GLOBALIST (GER) - (J Rosales): On jumping bumped by another runner. ENERY (IRE) - (E Chaves): Began awkwardly. Hung right from the 600 metres. DAWWASS (USA) - (R Mullen): Began awkwardly and hampered by another runner, losing ground. ROCKLEY (USA) - (R Ffrench): Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers after having blood in its mouth and was suitable to race. Slow into stride. On return to scale the rider could offer no explanation for the poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. General: Trainer Mr S Al Shamsi (JAZIRAT (IRE)) was fined AED 250 under the provisions of ERA Rule 28(iii) for the use of the ERA colours. Jockey E Chaves (ENERY (IRE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for using his whip in consecutive strides. Stewards took into account that this was E Chaves’s first breach of this Rule for the season.
