GRECKO (ARG) - (P Cosgrave): Over-raced in the early stages. Approaching the 1400 metres was bumped heavily on several occasions, becoming unbalanced. TONE BROKE (CAN) - (J Crowley): Commenced to hang right from the 500 metres. AL SEEL LEGACY'S (USA) - (P Dobbs): Raced wide without cover throughout. Lay left under pressure in the straight. Near the 800 metres bumped by another runner. Near the 350 metres when laying in shifted in abruptly. When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, the rider could offer no explanation other than AL SEEL LEGACY’S (USA) raced flat throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be mildly lame in the left foreleg. SUPERIOR (USA) - (C Beasley): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 800 metres bumped by another runner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ALDA'IYA (USA) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping bumped by another runner. Approaching 1400 metres was buffeted when racing in restricted room between runners. ALLA MAHLAK (USA) - (P Convertino): Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. BILA SHAK (USA) - (A de Vries): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. OBEYAAN (USA) - (R Mullen): Approaching the 1400 metres had to be steadied off heels and became severely unbalanced. RAAYAN (USA) - (A Fresu): Reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Slow to begin. Lay left in the straight. Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi (RAAYAN (USA)) was advised a warning would be placed against the colt for being reluctant to proceed to the barriers. SHANTY STAR (USA) - (I Koyuncu): Slow to begin. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for GRECKO (ARG)(P Cosgrave) being bumped on several occasion and becoming unbalanced approaching the 1400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1400 metres GRECKO (ARG), which was over-racing, shifted in and bumped ALDA'IYA (USA)(S Hitchcott), which was buffeted between GRECKO (ARG) and ESTIHDAAF (USA)(C Soumillon). Due to ALDA’IYA (USA) being buffeted, the colt shifted out and heavily bumped GRECKO (ARG), unbalancing that colt. OBEYAAN (USA)(R Mullen) which was following ALDA’IYA (USA) had to be steadied and became unbalanced as a result. As Stewards did not believe any one rider was at fault, they advised all riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.

BLAIR HOUSE (IRE) - (J Doyle): Fractious to the barrier prior to the start. Commenced awkwardly. In the early part of the straight lay in under pressure. AROD (IRE) - (J Crowley): Over-raced in the early stages. On return to scale the rider advised that the horse pulled up sore after the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the right foreleg. Trainer Mr D Simcock was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AROD (IRE). BAY OF POETS (IRE) - (B Doyle): Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner. EUGINIO (IRE) - (F Veron): Commenced awkwardly, bumping another runner before being steadied off heels. Near the 1400 metres had to be steadied and shift out when racing close to the heels of another runner. FIRST CONTACT (IRE) - (C O'Donoghue): Over-raced in the early stages. Near the 1400 metres when over-racing had to be steadied off the heels of another runner. Passing the 500 metres lay in under pressure. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for FIRST CONTACT (IRE)(C O'Donoghue) being steadied approaching the 1400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1400 metres FIRST CONTACT (IRE), which was over-racing, had to be steadied off the heels of DEAUVILLE (IRE)(A De Vries), which had shifted in when not sufficiently clear. In assessing the matter, Stewards took into account the racing manners of FIRST CONTACT (IRE) and as such advised A De Vries to exercise more care in a similar situation.

BIN BATTUTA (GB) - (C Soumillon): Lay left under pressure in the straight. SPOTIFY (FR) - (J Doyle): Bumped on jumping. Lay right under pressure in the straight. WADIGOR (GB) - (C Hayes): Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr N Bachalard advised that the following morning WADIGOR (GB) was lame in the right hind-leg. Mr N Bachalard was advised that prior to the gelding being entered to race again, he must provide a certificate of fitness for WADIGOR (GB).
