CRAFTING (IRE) - (A Fresu): Hampered on jumping. Slow into stride never taking a competitive part in the race. When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, the rider explained that CRAFTING (IRE) felt short in its action from the start of the race and for this reason he did not persist in riding the colt out. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. TALBEC (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Began awkwardly. General: Trainer Mr A bin Harmash (RUA AUGUSTA (USA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late request for the gelding to race without blinkers. Jockey G Avranche (IMPRISON (FR)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand. Stewards took into account that this was G Avranche’s first breach of this Rule for the season.

Near the 900 metres was bumped by another runner. Lay out rounding the home turn and continued to lay out in the straight. LMAZIN (OM) - (S Mazur): Shortly after the start shifted in and bumped another runner AF MANZOUMA (FR) - (A Fresu): Near the 1800 metres eased and tightened for room near between other runners. JEEMI (FR) - (F Veron): Slow to begin and then bumped by another runner. Near the 900 metres had to be restrained when racing tight between other runners. General: Stewards inquired into the reason JEEMI (FR)(F Veron) having to be restrained near the 900 metres. On the evidence and available footage available it was established that near the 900 metres JEEMI (FR), which had been racing in restricted room between (AF AL BAHER (AE))(T O’Shea) and (RB BURNING ASH (US))(P Cosgrave), had to be restrained. As the Stewards could not attribute blame on any one rider, no action was taken other than to advise all rider to exercise more care in a similar situation. Jockey O Doleuze (FAHEEDA (AE) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 20 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was O Doleuze’s first breach of this Rule for the season, that he won the race by a neck and that he excessively breached the number of strikes allowed under the Rules.
