The start of the race was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to JABAAR (AE) undergoing a veterinary examination after being fractious in the barriers. AF AL AASSI (AE) - (T O'Shea): Near the 350 metres bumped by another runner and shifted out. JABAAR (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Fractious in the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Trainer Mr E Lemartinel was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. JAP MANEE (AE) - (R Mullen): On return to scale the rider reported that the colt hung left throughout. MAJD AL AJIAL (AE) - (F Jara): Slow to begin and then restrained in the early stages. Trailed the field throughout before being eased down by its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be suffering from cardiac arrthymia. Trainer Mr S Al Mazrouei was notified that prior to the colt entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that MAJD AL AJIAL (AE) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. AATHMAH (AE) - (E Chaves): Began awkwardly. JAP AREKH (AE) - (R Ffrench): Near the 350 metres shifted out abruptly after being struck with the whip and bumped another runner. MH GHARAM (AE) - (C Beasley): Fractious in the barriers. Trainer Ms. E Jeanne was advised that prior to entering the filly to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test.
