Near the 1200 metres had to be steadied when placed in restricted room. Raced ungenerously in the early stages and shifted out near the 1000 metres. AMIRAH AL MELS (FR) - (A Fresu): Began awkwardly. MAGNUM (AE) - (A McLean): Began awkwardly. Commenced to hang left from the 600 metres before being eased down by its rider near the 300 metres, due to its racing manners. Trainer H Al Hammadi was notified that a warning would now be placed upon the colt for its racing manners and if it were to perform in a similar manner in the future action would be taken. MAHARRY (AE) - (R Ffrench): On jumping bumped and severely hampered by another runner. SS RABEH (AE) - (S Mazur): On jumping shifted in abruptly bumping and hampering other runners. AL AASEFA (AE) - (F Veron): Began awkwardly. JAP GABOUB (AE) - (F Jara): Difficult to load. Raced wide without cover throughout. Trainer Mr I Ellahi was advised that prior to entering the filly to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. General: Trainer Mr E Oertel (AF TARAN (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the colt without blinkers. Trainer Mr R ben Attia (SAMD AL KHALEDIAH (SA)) was fined AED 250 under the provisions of ERA Rule 28(iii) for use of the ERA colours. Stewards inquired into the reason for AS SHOUKA (AE)(E Chaves) having to be restrained approaching the 1000 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1000 metres MAITHA (AE)(B Pinheiro), which was racing ungenerously shifted out taking MAHARRY (AE)(R Ffrench) out wider and resulting in AS SHOUKA (AE) having to be restrained when tightened for room. Stewards noted the racing manners of MAITHA (AE) which contributed to the interference and therefore took no action any one rider, other than to advise them all to exercise more care in a similar situation.

AF AL HAZER (AE) - (T O'Shea): Bounded on jumping. On return to scale the rider advised that in his opinion the horse had pulled up lame. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore-leg. Trainer Mr E Oertel was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AF AL HAZER (AE). AL ZAHIR (FR) - (J Crowley): Raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi advised that the addition of blinkers for the first time and the re-addition of the tongue-tie had been beneficial to today’s performance. BF MUGHADER (OM) - (A Fresu): Stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground (10 lengths). Trainer Mr Y Al Kalbani was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. DARIUS DU PAON (FR) - (O Doleuze): Passing the 600 metres had to be checked when racing in restricted room between other runners. GOSHAWKE (US) - (F Jara): Shifted out and raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. AMWAJ (FR) - (F Veron): Stood flat-footed lost considerable ground (5 lengths). Trainer Mr E Lemartinel was advised that prior to entering the mare to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. General: Jockey O Doleuze (DARIUS DU PAON (FR)) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 13 occasions. In determining penalty Stewards took into account that this was O Doleuze’s second breach of this Rule this season and that the offence occured in a Group 1 race.
