Further F Prat was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for hitting his mount continuously without giving it a chance to respond. In assessing the penalty Stewards noted that today’s event was a Group 2 race. Jockey F Prat (STUBBINS (USA)) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the particulars of the charge being that approaching the 1600 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of DIVINE IMAGE (USA)(W Buick), which had to be checked to avoid the heels of STUBBINS (USA). F Prat had his license to ride in races suspended for two race meetings (Al Ain 11.4.2019 and Meydan 12.4.2019). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account F Prat’s good careless riding record. W Buick was issued a reprimand under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding and advised that he must exercise far greater care when permitting his mount to shift ground. Jockey J Ortiz (PLUS QUE PARFAIT (USA)) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the particulars of the charge being that near the 500 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of DIVINE IMAGE (USA)(W Buick), which had to be checked to avoid the heels of PLUS QUE PARFAIT (USA).
