The start of the meeting was delayed by 1 hour due to an audio/visual issue which resulted in extremely sub-standard Stewards patrol footage, in which the Stewards were of the belief that it would not be in the best interests to commence racing until such time as the footage was provided, due to the safety concerns held for all participants involved. The race times were amended to the following: Race 1: 6:00pm Race 2: 6:30pm Race 3: 7:00pm Race 4: 7:30pm Race 5: 8:00pm Race 6: 8:30pm BAINOONA (FR) - (P Cosgrave): Began awkwardly and bumped by another runner. AF SHARESAH (AE) - (J Santiago): Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. During the race lost both fore plates. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the right fore-leg. Trainer Mr E Oertel was advised that prior to the mare being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AF SHARESAH (AE). HAWAFEZ (AE) - (C Beasley): Slow to begin. GARNISHH (US) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. WALL STREET WATCH (US) - (F Jara): Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner.

On the evidence and limited footage available it was established that near the 300 metres AF MOBASHER (AE)(B Pinheiro) shifted in abruptly away from other runners, resulting in EMAAR (US) being tightened for room and having to be checked. Taking into account the racing manners of AF MOBASHER (AE) and the lack of footage, Stewards were comfortably satisfied that B Pinheiro had made sufficient effort to prevent his mount form shifting ground when racing ungenerously, and therefore took no further action.
