GREATEST HITS (USA) - (R Fitzpatrick): Slow to begin. HELLO (IRE) - (F Jara): Bumped on jumping. Near the 1900 metres was checked when tightened for room between runners. JINTSHI (GB) - (F Veron): Near the 1900 metres bumped with another runner. Raced keen in the early stages. MANDOLIN LULLABY (USA) - (R Ffrench): Commenced awkwardly hitting its head on the left barrier partition and lost ground. Race wide without cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have bled from the left nostril, a subsequent endoscopic examination revealed that the blood present was attributed to an external trauma. THAAQIB (GB) - (J Crowley): Near the 1900 metres bumped on the hind-quarters. SECRET TRADE (IRE) - (A Fresu): Near the 1900 metres buffeted between runners. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding, Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi advised that SECRET TRADE (IRE) had been disappointing in its two previous starts this preparation and following these start had pulled up with muscle soreness. Due to this, the gelding had undergone treatment in which it had responded well and that this combined with the fact that SECRET TRADE (IRE) had been working well, the stable had expected a forward showing today. STRONG CHEMISTRY (GB) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly shifted inwards and bumped another runner. Near the 1900 metres bumped when racing tight between runners. FORTUNE WRITER (IRE) - (W Lee): Slow to begin. PRESS ROOM (USA) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for Jockey F Jara (HELLO (IRE)) being checked and losing ground near the 1900 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that HELLO (IRE) had to be checked when tightened for room between THAAQIB (GB)(J Crowley), which shifted out after having its hind-quarters bumped and STRONG CHEMISTRY (GB)(B Pinheiro), which after being marginally slow to begin improved into a tight run to the inside of PARKLIFE (IRE)(A McLean), which had shifted in marginally. As Stewards did not believe that this incident could be attributed to the actions of any one rider, all riders were advised to exercise care when in similar circumstances.
