Over-raced in the early stages. Shifted out under pressure from the 100 metres. INTHAR (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Near the 700 metres restrained off the heels of another runner when the pace eased. MAHFOUZ (AE) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. MORJANAH AL REEF (AE) - (F Jara): Raced ungenerously in the early stages when placed in restricted room. SYED (FR) - (S Mazur): Passing the 700 metres clipped the heels of a weakening runner, shifted out and bumped another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for INTHAR (AE)(B Pinheiro) being restrained near the 700 metres and SYED (FR)(S Mazur) clipping that horse’s heels. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 700 metres FATEH (FR)(A Al Balushi) shifted in quickly towards the rail then commenced to slow, despite being ridden along by its rider. As a result INTHAR (AE) was restrained by its rider resulting in SYED (FR) checking off that horse’s heels, shifting out and bumping WAADH (FR)(R Mullen). In determining this incident Stewards took note of the racing manners of FATEH (FR), the inexperience of apprentice A Al Balushi and the abruptness of the initial shift. As a result Stewards advised A A Balushi that he must make every effort to keep his mounts straight.
