On return to scale the rider advised the colt mis-strode during the middle stages and felt a miss. He added for this reason he eased MAJD AL AJIAL (AE) out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MUSTAJEEB (AE) - (P Cosgrave): On return to scale the rider advised the colt hung right throughout. SAAFARR (GB) - (C Hayes): On return to scale the rider advised that the saddle shifted back shortly after jumping, placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. TRENCHARD (USA) - (P Dobbs): Commenced awkwardly before being steadied when tightened for room between other runners. ALEKO (GB) - (A Fresu): Fractious to the barrier prior to the start. Trainer Mr E Charpy was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. BATHOS (IRE) - (J Butterfield): Raced wide without cover throughout. On return to scale the rider advised that the saddle shifted back approaching the first turn near the 1400 metres, placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race.
