AL BAREZ (USA) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin. HEART OF LIONS (USA) - (E Chaves): Bumped on jumping. Eased out of the race passing the winning post on the first occasion. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the right fore-leg. Trainer Mr M Ibrahim was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must complete a suitability examination conducted by an ERA Veterinarian. HELLO (IRE) - (F Jara): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. SHEEBA (GB) - (P Dobbs): Stumbled on jumping. THAAQIB (GB) - (J Crowley): Shifted in on jumping and bumped another runner. WHITE SKY (IRE) - (W Lee): Slow to begin. MURRAYFIELD (USA) - (P Cosgrave): Difficult to load. Was eased out of the race from the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr R Bouresly was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. Further Mr R Bouresly was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for MURRAYFIELD (USA). RICH AND FAMOUS (USA) - (X Ziani): On return to scale the rider reported that the gelding hung left throughout. MANDOLIN LULLABY (USA) - (R Ffrench): Eased down rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. GREATEST HITS (USA) - (G Buckell): On arrival at the barriers underwent a pre-race veterinary examination before being deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 3:27PM. Trainer Mr Y Al Blooshi was advised that prior to the filly being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for GREATEST HITS (USA). On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the winning post on the first occasion AF MAFATEN (AE)(S Mazur), which was racing ungenerously shifted in marginally resulting in NAPOLI (AE) having to be steadied. Stewards noted the racing manners of AF MAFATEN (AE) and therefore advised S Mazur to exercise more care in a similar situation.

NADER AL KHALEDIAH (SA) - (M Al Daham): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr M bin Mashref was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. SHAHEER (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped with another runner near the 600 metres. MUBASHER AL KHALEDIAH (SA) - (A Al Fairoz): On straightening lay in under pressure. Lay out under pressure over the final 200 metres. General: Jockey A Al Odhaib (MORHEB AL KHALEDIAH (SA)) was advised that he would be expected to make a greater effort to prevent his mount shifting ground outwards over the concluding stages, than he did on this occasion. Jockey A Al Fairoz (MUBASHER AL KHALEDIAH (SA)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for consecutive use of the whip in that he used it on 3 occasions. In determining penalty Stewards took into account that this was A Al Fairoz’s first breach of this Rule this season and that he won the race.
