A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore-leg. Trainer Ms E Jeanne was advised that prior to the horse entering to race again she must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for DJAMER KB (FR). LAHEEB AL REEF (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Slow to begin. Near the 1200 metres hampered by another runner. Near the 500 metres shifted in and bumped another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for AS SHOUKA (AE)(E Chaves) clipping heels near the 1200 metres. On the evidence and limited video footage available it was established that near the 1300 metres AS SHOUKA (AE), after initially being tightened by AL AASEFA (AE)(F Veron), raced close to the heels of KALBAHAR CS (US)(F Jara) for a short distance before clipping that horse’s heels and stumbling. As Stewards could not be satisfied to the requisite standard the exact reasons for this incident, no action was taken other than to advise the riders to be aware of their fellow jockeys when shifting ground in the future.

On return to scale, an objection was lodged by Jockey Fabrice Veron (RB LAM TARA (US) (3rd Place)) against Jockey S Mazur (HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM) (1st Place)) alleging interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from both riders, Mr Ahmed Al Mazrouei (Assistant Trainer HAKEMAT MUSCAT (OM)) and Mr Eric Lemartinel (Trainer RB LAM TARA (US)) and reviewing the video footage, it was established that for a short distance near the 200 metres EGHEL DE PINE (IT)(P Cosgrave) lay out making contact with, and taking RB LAM TARA (US) out towards HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM), bumping that filly. Then near the 50 metres HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM) shifted in when not clear of RB LAM TARA (US), resulting in that filly having to check off HAKEEMAT MUSCAT’S (OM) heels. In the opinion of the Stewards, any interference suffered to RB LAM TARA (US) by HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM) only occurred near the 50 metres and considering the 1.25 length margin at the winning post, they could not be satisfied that had the interference not occurred RB LAM TARA (US) would have beaten HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM). As such the objection was dismissed and correct weight declared. AF AL AASSI (AE) - (T O'Shea): Bumped on jumping. EBHAAR (FR) - (O Doleuze): Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Trainer Mr E Lemartinel was advised that prior to entering the colt to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. EGHEL DE PINE (IT) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Over-raced in the early stages. Near the 200 metres shifted out and bumped another runner. MARGHAM DUBAI (FR) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. OFFICER (US) - (C Beasley): Slow to begin. ZAHI MUSCAT (OM) - (A de Vries): Approaching the winning post on the first occasion was inconvenienced by another runner. DORA AL MELS (FR) - (E Chaves): Slow to begin then bumped by another runner. Bumped by another runner near the 200 metres. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion shifted out when awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner. HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM) – (S Mazur): Bumped by another runner near the 200 metres. KAWTHAR AL REEF (AE) - (F Jara): Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner. RB LAM TARA (US) – (F Veron): Bumped by another runner near the 200 metres. Near the 50 metres was checked off the heels of another runner. YARAA (FR) - (R Ffrench): Shifted out abruptly passing the winning post on the first occasion. General: Jockey F Veron (RB LAM TARA (US)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 78(ii) for lodging what the Stewards deemed to be frivolous objection. Jockey S Mazur (HAKEEMAT MUSCAT (OM)) pled guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the particulars being that near the 50 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of RB LAM TARA (US)(F Veron), resulting in that filly having to be checked by its rider. S Mazur had his license to ride in races suspended for two race meetings (Poland 28.04.2019 and Poland 04.05.2019). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account S Mazur’s careless riding record, guilty plea and forthright evidence.
