TORNO SUBITO (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Leaving the paddock, kicked the rail and as a result underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers, being passed suitable to race. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider stated that TORNO SUBITO (IRE) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure stopped quickly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr D Watson advised that the following morning the gelding was suffering from shin soreness to its left front leg.

MAMBO MISCHIEF (USA) - (C Beasley): Hung outwards in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, the rider could offer no explanation other than MAMBO MISCHIEF (USA) stopped quickly when placed under pressure rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MIRACLE POWER (USA) - (A de Vries): On jumping shifted outwards quickly and lost ground. SAND WARRIOR (USA) - (A Fresu): Slow to begin and shortly after received a bump. MAJHOOLA (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Shifted outwards on jumping and bumped another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that the filly moved poorly behind. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be mildly lame in the right hind-leg.

KEY BID (GB) - (R Ffrench): Raced wide without cover in the middle stages and made the turn in the straight wide. WELFORD (GB) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider stated that WELFORD (GB) is better suited to racing on turf. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. SILKEN DANCER (GB) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that SILKEN DANCER (GB) commenced to weaken from the 1400 metres and was disappointing in its overall effort. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr D Watson advised that the following morning the gelding was suffering from shin soreness. General: On return to the winning enclosure the groom attempted to remove the hood from FIRNAS (GB) and in doing so the bridle was dislodged. As a result, FIRNAS (GB) galloped freely before being re-captured. Consequently correct was delayed to allow Jockey X Ziani to weigh in.

GUNDOGDU (USA) - (X Ziani): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider stated that GUNDOGDU (USA) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however commenced to give ground when challenged by GLORIOUS POET (GB) near the 1000 metres as he dislikes racing amongst other horses. He added that rounding the home turn he felt that there may be something amiss, however on pulling up the GUNDOGDU (USA) appeared sound. Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer was questioned regarding the performance of GUNDOGDU (USA) and advised that the gelding didn’t get an easy lead during the race as he would have liked. He added that he would monitor GUNDOGDU (USA) in the coming weeks and then schedule to race him at Meydan over his ideal distance of 1800 metres to 2000 metres. Stewards advised Mr bin Ghadayer that if anything appears in the condition of GUNDOGDU (USA) in the coming days, he is obliged to notify the Stewards of such findings. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. MONTAKHAB (USA) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. CACHAO (GB) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider stated that CACHAO (GB) failed to respond to his riding rounding the home turn and in his opinion failed to stay the distance of tonight’s race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. IMMORTALISED (GB) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, the rider stated that IMMORTALISED (GB) raced towards the rear of the field in its customary position, however when placed under pressure from the 800 metres, ran on only fairly and was disappointing over the concluding stages. MEARS (USA) - (S Paiva): Near the 1300 metres bumped with another runner. HAWKER (GB) - (A McLean): Lay out under pressure over the concluding stages. SA'ADA (USA) - (C Beasley): Commenced awkwardly. ARCH GOLD (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Near the 1300 metres bumped with another runner. General: Trainer Mr S Al Shamsi (GOOD CONTACT (USA)) was questioned regarding the late arrival of the gelding to the track. He stated that the stable allowed for adequate, however was severely delayed due to a traffic accident in Abu Dhabi. Stewards noted that Mr S Al Shamsi correctly advised the ERA via a telephone call regarding the delay and as such no action was taken.

MILITARY LAW (GB) - (A Fresu): When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding, Trainer Mr M Al Mheiri advised that MILITARY LAW (GB) has been training well and took benefit from its first up run in November 2019. MYSTIQUE MOON (GB) - (P Dobbs): Commenced awkwardly. On return to scale, the rider advised that shortly after the start the gelding did not move freely behind and then failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination of MYSTIQUE MOON (GB), revealed the gelding to be suffering from atrial fibrillation. Trainer Mr D Watson was notified that prior to the gelding entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that MYSTIQUE MOON (GB) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. NEW TRAILS (USA) - (C Beasley): Raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres. GRONKOWSKI (USA) - (R Ffrench): Difficult to load. Commenced awkwardly. When questioned Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer stated that GRONKOWSKI (USA) will take benefit for having his first run for the season. Further, Mr S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the colt to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. MANGUZI (FR) - (F Jara): Over-raced during the middle stages and near the 1400 metres had to be eased off the heels of another runner. SALTARIN DUBAI (ARG) - (R Mullen): In the early part of the straight shifted outwards under pressure. TALENTO PUMA (ARG) - (X Ziani): Commenced awkwardly losing ground. Raced wide without cover in the early stages. On return to scale the rider advised that the colt will take benefit for having its first start for the season and will be better suited to racing over a shorter distance.
