BARTOLIST (IRE) - (B Pinheiro): Raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres. BLUE MOUNTAIN (GB) - (A Fresu): A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. HARBOUR DANCE (GB) - (T O'Shea): Approaching the 300 metres shifted outwards abruptly, unbalancing its rider. MA YAHAB (USA) - (X Ziani): Having not started for 358 days, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. OBEYAAN (USA) - (B Doyle): Having not started for 359 days, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Commenced awkwardly. Near the 1300 metres was tightened for room, bumped another runner and had to be restrained. TERRAIN (GB) - (S Mazur): Raced ungenerously during the middle stages. Approaching the 600 metres, clipped the heels of another runner and blundered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a cut on its left fore-fetlock. LADY SNAZZ (USA) - (R Mullen): Raced wide without cover throughout. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for OBEYAAN (USA)(B Doyle) being restrained approaching the 1300 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1300 metres TERRAIN (GB)(S Mazur), which was racing greenly, shifted inwards abruptly bumping and unbalancing OBEYAAN (USA), which had to be restrained. Stewards accepted that Jockey S Mazur had attempted to correct his mount, as such no action was taken other than advice the riders to exercise more care in a similar situation. Stewards inquired into the reason for TERRAIN (GB)(S Mazur) clipping the heels on another runner and blundered near the 600 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 600 metres TERRAIN (GB), which was racing close to the heels of BLUE MOUNTAIN (GB)(A Fresu) and tight to the inside of OFF WHITE (USA)(A De Vries), clipped the heels of BLUE MOUNTAIN (GB) and blundered. Stewards advised S Mazur to exercise more care in a similar situation when racing close to the heels of other runners.
