LUCIUS TIBERIUS (IRE) - (B Doyle): Commenced awkwardly. SHARPALO (FR) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. GIFTS OF GOLD (IRE) - (C Soumillon): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 1400 metres was bumped heavily by another runner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. COURT POET (GB) - (W Buick): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained COURT POET (GB), who was having its first start after a lengthy break, ran disappointingly. MASSIF CENTRAL (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Carried outwards by another runner over the concluding stages. KOEMAN (GB) - (J Egan): Passing the 600 metres raced in restricted room for a short distance. DUBAI FUTURE (GB) - (H Bentley): Shortly after straightening was bumped by another runner. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. QUARTERBACK (GER) - (R Ffrench): Over-raced in the early stages. On return to scale the rider advised that approaching the 300 metres the horse appeared to lose its action in front and for this reason he eased QUARTERBACK (GER) down in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be mildly lame in the left fore-leg. RIO TIGRE (IRE) - (M Barzalona): Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ACROSS THE STARS (IRE)(P Graberg) bumping heavily with another runner approaching the 1400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1400 metres ACROSS THE STARS (IRE), which was racing in restricted room, shifted out when attempting to improve and bumped heavily with GIFTS OF GOLD (IRE)(C Soumillon). Stewards advised P Graberg to exercise more care when shifting ground in the similar situation.

CHASING DREAMS (GB) - (W Buick): Shortly after the start was tightened for room between runners and lost ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the filly, the rider explained that CHASING DREAMS (GB) was having its first start on dirt was severely interfered with on jumping, however her overall performance was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. HAVANA RED (GB) - (E Chaves): Carried inwards shortly after the start and bumped another runner. ASCOT BRASS (SWE) - (P Graberg): On jumping shifted inwards bumping another runner. Over the concluding stages was bumped by another runner. RIO ANGIE (USA) - (P Dobbs): Raced wide without cover throughout. SILENT WAVE (GB) - (J Doyle): On return to scale the rider advised that the filly stopped quickly when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be mildly lame in the left fore-leg with blood present in the left nostril which was attributed to head trauma.

Raced wide without cover from the 1600 metres. FALCON CLAWS (USA) - (P Dobbs): Slow to begin. FIRST VIEW (IRE) - (P Cosgrave): Shifted out at the start. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the colt, the rider advised that FIRST VIEW (IRE) would be better suited to racing on turf, which was also confirmed by Trainer Mr. S bin Suroor. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be mildly lame in the right hind-leg. GREY FLASH (USA) - (C Lopez): Bumped on jumping. LASER SHOW (IRE) - (K Stott): When questioned regarding the improved performance of the colt, Trainer Mr. S bin Suroor advised that the colt shows plenty of ability in morning track work and was suited with the addition of a set of visors. He further added that LASER SHOW (GB) appreciated racing over a further distance and was able to settle closer to the lead, which attributed to the improved performance. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that FRANZ KAFKA (IRE) commenced awkwardly and then did not appreciate the kickback throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. GEORGE VILLIERS (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Shifted out on jumping. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. EDARAAT (GB) - (S Paiva): Bumped shortly after the start. STARRY EYES (USA) - (A Fresu): Acting on correspondence from Assistant Trainer Mr E Crisford that the filly had an abscess in the left front-foot, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of STARRY EYES (USA) at 5:27pm. Trainer Mr S Crisford was advised that prior to the filly entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for STARRY EYES (USA).
