Trainer Mr S Crisford was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. DUBAI FUTURE (GB) - (H Bentley): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the colt, the rider explained that he had to push DUBAI FUTURE (GB) in the early stages, which resulted in the colt failing to respond to his riding over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the colt’s performance. ACROSS THE STARS (IRE) - (C Beasley): Difficult to load. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Trainer Mr J Ramadhan was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. Near the 2000 metres steadied. AHESTA BERO (GB) - (R Mullen): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. ZAMAAM (GB) - (F Veron): Fractious in the barrier prior to a start. Slow into stride and then was tightened for room, bumping another runner. General: Jockey J Egan (KOEMAN (GB)) was fined AED 2000, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 14 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was J Egan’s second breach of this Rule for the season.
