MAYAADEEN (IRE) - (D O'Neill): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination and passed suitable to race. CACHAO (GB) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. ETISALAT (GB) - (J Crowley): On jumping was carried outwards by another runner. On return to scale the rider could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right fore-leg. Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi was advised that prior to the gelding being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for ETISALAT (GB). QUIET ENDEAVOUR (IRE) - (P Dobbs): In the early part of the straight lay inwards. FEAR THE FURY (USA) - (B Doyle): Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout. GERVAIS (USA) - (S Paiva): On jumping shifted out. SPEEDY MOVE (IRE) - (R Mullen): Stumbled on jumping. ZAAJER (GB) - (F Jara): On jumping shifted in. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion ZAAJER (GB) has bled, acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr A Al Rayhi was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 90 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA stewards or veterinary officer. General: Jockey A Fresu (CALIFORNIA JUMBO (USA)) was fined AED 4000, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 13 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was A Fresu’s third breach of this Rule for the season.
