RIGHT FLANK (USA) - (P Dobbs): Began awkwardly. Shortly after was tightened for room. JAZIRAT (IRE) - (A Al Balushi): Raced wide without cover throughout. Trainer Mr S Al Shamsi was queried regarding presenting JAZIRAT (IRE) on course without its identification document. In noting Mr Al Shamsi’s explanation and the fact that the gelding was identified by its microchip, Stewards permitted JAZIRAT (IRE) to race, however advised Mr Al Shamsi that he must be in possession of an original identity document prior to the gelding being permitted to be entered again. SERENGETI SKY (USA) - (R Mullen): Shortly after the start lay outwards. DRESS COAT (GB) - (R Ffrench): Was carried out shortly after the start and bumped another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. MANKIND (FR) - (C Beasley): Began awkwardly. Shortly after bumped another runner. TAILOR'S ROW (USA) - (X Ziani): Lay outwards passing the 1200 metres. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance (second placegetter) of the gelding which was having its first start for him, Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer reported to the Stewards that TAILOR'S ROW (USA) had been working well in training and has appreciated the drop in class. Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer added that he expects that the gelding would improve from racing over a further distance at its next start. EPSILON (USA) - (T O'Shea): Slow into stride.

FIRNAS (GB) - (X Ziani): Shifted outwards on jumping. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding, Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer reported to the Stewards that FIRNAS (GB) appreciated the drop in rating and believes this is a horse on the improve. BOIS DE BOULOGNE (USA) - (R Ffrench): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, Trainer Mr S bin Ghadyaer stated that in his opinion the horse did not back up from its most recent start 8 days ago. CAPE OF EAGLES (USA) - (C Beasley): Over-raced in the early and middle stages. TAFAAKHOR (IRE) - (D O'Neill): Over-raced in the early and middle stages. DOLMEN (FR) - (R Mullen): Approaching the 250 metres had to be restrained. General: On return to scale an objection was lodged by Jockey R Mullen (DOLMEN (FR)), second placegetter against the winner FIRNAS (GB)(X Ziani), alleging interference near the 250 metres. After taking evidence from the respective parties and reviewing the video footage, it was established that DOLMEN (FR) had to be restrained slightly as FIRNAS (GB) shifted in near the 250 metres. In the opinion of the Stewards, considering the degree of interference and the position where it occurred, and taking into account the margin of three quarters of a length between FIRNAS (GB) and DOLMEN (FR) at the finish, the Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that had the interference not occurred, DOLMEN (FR) would have beaten FIRNAS (GB). As a result Stewards dismissed the objection and correct weight was declared. At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey X Ziani (FIRNAS (GB)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding, in that near the 250 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of DOLMEN (FR).
