Near the 400 metres, when racing ungenerously, shifted out and bumped another runner. Raced ungenerously over the concluding stages. CLOSE PASS (GB) - (S Kirrane): Near the 400 metres was bumped by another runner and had to be restrained. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding failed to run out the distance of the race. COMPLIANCE (IRE) - (C Beasley): Reared on jumping. COSMIC GLOW (GB) - (R Mullen): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Bumped heavily by another runner near the 400 metres. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding would be better suited to racing over a shorter distance. KALAMAZOO (USA) - (R Ffrench): Threw its head on jumping. OCEAN BLUFF (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Became extremely fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Commenced awkwardly throwing its head. Trainer Mr M Hussain was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. TOBRAVE (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Made contact with another runner passing the 400 metres. NIBRAS VOICE (IRE) - (A Al Balushi): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr B Al Shamsi was notified that the filly would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for CLOSE PASS (GB)(S Kirrane) having to be restrained near the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage, it was established that near the 400 metres CELTIC PRINCE (GB)(D Liska), which was racing ungenerously, shifted outwards quickly when struck with the whip and bumped CLOSE PASS (GB). As a result CLOSE PASS (GB) had to be restrained and shifted outwards bumping heavily with COSMIC GLOW (GB)(R Mullen). Stewards accepted that Jockey D Liska had made an immediate effort to straighten his mount when that gelding shifted quickly and as a result took no action in the circumstances, other than to advise D Liska to exercise care when racing in restrictive room.

Commenced awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner. RAAKEZZ (USA) - (T O'Shea): Slow into stride. RATIO (USA) - (C Beasley): Bumped shortly after the start WELCOME SURPRISE (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Commenced awkwardly. Approaching the 800 metres taken in and bumped another runner. FERIYAL (USA) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. General: Apprentice S Kirrane (GOOD FIGHTER (USA)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding, in that approaching the 300 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of COAST OF DUBAI (IRE), which had to be checked when tightened for room. Following the running of this race, a delegation of riders addressed the Stewards regarding the condition of the track. The riders unanimously agreed that the track was unsafe due to the severe kickback, which posed an unnecessary safety risk to themselves as well as being unable to ride their mounts to a satisfactory standard. They added that to avoid inconvenience to the connections of runners in the remaining races, they would complete the meeting with the assurance that the Club would address the matter before the next race-meeting on the 13th December 2019. Stewards notified the Club of the rider’s concern and will follow up the matter prior to entries being taken for the next Jebel Ali race-meeting.
