When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that SHARAMM (IRE) was caught wide without cover in the middle stages and as a result he improved his position, which resulted in the gelding failing to finish of its race as expected. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. TRENCHARD (USA) - (P Dobbs): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that TRENCHARD (USA) resented the kickback in the early stages and as a result failed to travel. He added that the gelding has a short sprint and when placed under pressure was he disappointed in the way TRENCHARD (USA) finished off the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. AL HADEER (USA) - (D O'Neill): Lay outwards rounding the turn. ENCHANTING MAN (GB) - (T O'Shea): Approaching the 1200 metres commenced to over-race and hung outwards. NATIVE APPEAL (IRE) - (S Hitchcott): Slow into stride. Correct weight was delayed after receiving a report from the Official Judge, that the recording mechanism of the photo finish had not been activated and consequently there was no photo finish. KARAGINSKY (GB) - (R Mullen): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that KARAGINSKY (GB) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however stopped quickly when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the right foreleg. SPACE BANDIT (GB) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted in. QUIET ENDEAVOUR (IRE) - (P Dobbs): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider explained that QUIET ENDEAVOUR (IRE) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however stopped quickly when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ZAAJER (GB) - (F Jara): Commenced awkwardly. FAWAAREQ (IRE) - (J Crowley): On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung right throughout. SILKEN DANCER (GB) - (P Graberg): Shifted out shortly after the start. RICH AND FAMOUS (USA) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. CACHAO (GB) - (T O'Shea): Slow to begin and shifted out abruptly. KING LOTHBROK (FR) - (M Nicholls): After not having a start in 384 days, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Bumped on jumping. On return to scale the rider advised that she was not happy with the gelding’s action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
